Grilled Cheese is not just grilled cheese as the literal translation might suggest. It is a succulent American sandwich consisting of two slices of sandwich bread stuffed with cheese (usually cheddar or American cheese) and fried in a fat, usually butter. Exquisite if you love cheese which in this case comes out and meets the greasy plate or pan forming a delicious crust.
The version that I propose to you today is decidedly less caloric and above all with very few carbohydrates and keto friendly . This is one of the many ways you can take advantage of the Lo Dough base which has only 39kcal and 2.2g of carbohydrates.
Low-carb grilled cheese
- 1 base Lo Dough
- 75g cheddar or your favorite stringy cheese
- 2 squirts of reduced calorie cooking oil spray
Preparation
- Spray the plate/pan with spray light oil and heat.
- Cut the Lo-Dough base in half and arrange on the griddle/pan.
- Put the sliced cheese on top and then the other half of the Lo-Dough base.
- If you use the pan, turn it halfway through cooking (by plate we mean the one that cooks on both sides by lowering the lid so you don't need to turn).
Enjoy your meal!
